Check out our new Metro Vancouver Dog Walks Forum - the most comprehesive listing of dog parks and walks on the web ... over 130 parks shown.
This walk in West Vancouver is one of Mom's favourite locations, as there are so many purebred dogs to watch and a nice waterfront walkway. For me, that many dogs is actually a negative. Being a Chow, I'm not much into sniffing and playing. At times I'll do some running with the other dogs, but that's the exception (and I prefer to do the chasing rather than be chased). If I was a retriever this location would probably rate five paws for dog interactions ...
I've seen the occasional squirrel, but they are usually in the human fitness track area in the centre of the park, and dogs aren't allowed to go there ... darn!
Overall, this location is in the top quartile (my Dad taught me that word), but the ocean sometimes has large waves, which puts me off. However, the sand area for dogs to play is nice and large, so I can race along the beach when the urge strikes (like in the video shown below).
I also occasionally cover Ambleside Dog Park on my blog. Check it out at Beatrice's Ambleside Blog.
