Check out our new Metro Vancouver Dog Walks Forum - the most comprehesive listing of dog parks and walks on the web ... over 130 parks shown.
This park in South Surrey has allocated the entire park as an off-leash dog area. And it is nice and big. It has both a grass field area and a forested trail system similar to Stanley Park or Campbell Valley Regional Park. There is also a pond for swimming in, but it can get a bit muddy (so don't go in if you have a coat that you want to maintain in pristine condition).
It has fencing around most of the park, and an ample parking lot for your human's car or truck. Since it is very popular, there can be a lot of dogs to socialize with when you arrive ... I have seen upwards of 20 dogs at one time. But, since the park is so big, it is easy to go off on your own if you aren't into that socializing stuff. Being a Chow Chow, I'd rather just be independent and on my own (Mom calls it being aloof).
The park has a couple of water hose areas, where you can get washed off before getting back into the car (if you got dirty in the pond, for example). There are human washrooms as well, so the place has good facilities.
