Check out our new Metro Vancouver Dog Walks Forum - the most comprehesive listing of dog parks and walks on the web ... over 130 parks shown.
During this walk in Delta you have to be "controlled" if you're off leash as you can come across bikes and horses very quickly. Since many dogs have not been controlled in the past, a crackdown is occurring, demanding leashes. That's too bad ... this wasn't the case before, when the rating for this walk was higher if you were well behaved.
Watershed Park has nice shady trails for those hot days, but as the evening approaches there can be mosquitoes come out. That's not a problem for me, but my Mom and Dad get bitten and rush the end of the walk far too much. There are some areas with nice cool spring water and fish ponds, but I'm not allowed to swim there. The water does taste great, however, so I always stop for a water break.
It's rare to see rodents or other animals, although I've smelt them a couple times, but haven't been able to find them.
