This video of Beatrice wading in Burrard Inlet has some unique sunshine sparkles (especially near the end of the video). Our eyes didn't notice at the time, but the camera captured the interesting effect.

My name is Bruich (pronounced "Brook") and I'm new here. My name is Scottish Gaelic and roughly translates to "food." This is super appropriate because I LOVE my food!

I'm super athletic and love going for walks and runs, so I'm really excited that my mom just opened up a dog walking business. Now I get to go on even more walks than normal! If you want to find out more about the business, you can see our website here: www.argospetservices.ca
I hope I'll hear from you all soon!

We went to Nelson Park yesterday as we were later heading to Granville Island and wanted Kipawa to run off some steam before a more structured walk. First off, it is EXTREMELY hard to get parking. All the parking is 'designated' parking for residents. We took our chances, as we have a handicap sticker, and we were okay - no ticket.

The park has very good double gates, but the fencing is really only suitable for smaller dogs. My basenji or any larger dog could easily get over them.

And then there are the peeps, who seem to go there to socialize, meaning they don't keep an eye on their dogs. Kipawa wanted to play with a Viszla, but it was rather mouthy. The owner had an 'oh, they'll figure it out' attitude. Well, when your dog has his jaws entirely over my dog's neck, that is not 'figuring it out'. And when I go over to MY dog and say he needs a 'time out', that means YOUR dog needs it too! So hold your dog for a bit while I hold mine. Just don't let your dog keep charging at my dog.

We gave up after 15 minutes and left. Looking back, the energy of the dogs there was not balanced. There were a number of scrappy acting dogs. It made me wonder about how dogs deal with living in small condos/apartments and being alone all day while their owners are at work. Then they go out to this park, run loose with no training, and repeat the cycle the next day.

For sure we won't be going back to this park. Unbalanced dogs, snootier people and no parking.

Hi all... I am Zoe..... aka, ZoZo.... the ZoInator.... amongst other nicks.

The short story is, I am just over 4 yrs old, and a LabX. My nose would indicate that I am crossed with something with a big nose, and skinny.

I was pretty much certifiably kraZy, when my folks brought me home from the shelter, when I was about 1 yr old.... but most of the KraZy has been driven down pretty deep, for the most part, I am a very good dog now. But, you don't 'cure' crazy.... it's always there, somewhere below the surface. It's a good thing to remember that.

My avatar pic is me and my human brother in my Dad's gigantic convertible. I love riding in that car.... I'll find a better closeup pic, and change my avatar, when I get around to it. It's time for a nap now.

Town Centre Park (1299 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam) is a large mult-use park with numerous facilities, such as sports fields, a skateboard bowl, tennis courts, ball diamonds, and 7 km of trails. The lakeside loop trail around Lafarge Lake is a leisurely 1.25 km stroll.

The park is not off-leash, but it does provide a nice park setting for dog activities.
Semiahmoo Beach Park (15782 Marine Drive, Surrey) is a great beach for dogs. The beach strip is full of families on sunny weekends, with their dogs enjoying the water and sand flats during low tide. Pay parking is available just off Marine Drive, or metered parking on the south side of Marine Drive if you are lucky. After parking, walk south across the raised railway to arrive at the wide expanse of beach. Be on the watch for trains, especially for your 4 legged friend.
