He was a railroad worker and a farmer. He was also known as Leon Carrier.15 In 1881 Pierre Leon Carrier and Eugenie Roy lived at St-Charles, Bellechasse, Quebec, in the same house as Leon's parents.8

Joseph8 Carrier (Pierre7, Jean6, Jean5, Joseph-Noël4 Lebrun, Noël3 Lebrun dit Carrière, Noël2, Jean1) was born on 6 Dec 1878 at St-Charles, Bellechasse, Québec.14 He married Alma Turmelle, daughter of Pierre Turmel and Melina Labonte, on 8 Aug 1904 at Biddeford, York County, Maine.21 He died at Edmonton Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta.22 He died on 4 Jan 1951 at St. Paul, Alberta, at age 72.23

In the Pictorial History of St. Paul, a Joseph Carrier is shown as applying for a homestead in the St. Paul district on April 10, 1909. On the same day, a Pete Carrier is also listed. A close family friend, Alphonse Morin (know as uncle Alphonse, although not related) also filed for a homestead that day. The Joseph Carrier listed is either a different individual, or Joseph was married in Maine in 1904, registered in St. Paul, then returned to Maine, where several children were born as late as 1914.

He was also known as Rosaire Carrier.15 Before 1920 Rosario Jean Carrier lived at Rumford, Oxford County, Maine.17 He was a Millhand in May 1922 at Rumford, Oxford County, Maine.15 He was retired from the shipping department of Oxford Paper Company (now the Mead Paper Company) , where he was a member of the 25 Year Club of retired employees.17

Rosario Jean8 Carrier and Hilda Marie Paulin had two daughters and a son.
